December is right around the corner and we want you to be ready for all the events happening at the Ellington library. The December newsletter is out and it’s jammed full of events, programs, book reviews, book gift choices and a calendar for you to keep track of it all. We’ve got the Red Cross Hands only CPR course for adults and the Disaster Preparedness Pillowcase Project for the kids. Then get ready for some holiday spirit with “A Christmas Carol” presentation from the Traveling Lantern Theater Company. This is for children but feel free to bring the whole family and share with your children the transformation of Ebenzer Scrooge on Christmas eve. The Jamestown Holiday Express Chorus will be bringing their finest holiday spirit music to our library on Tuesday December 10th from 7:30 – 8:30pm. This is a free concert, no tickets needed. Get your “crafty” on because it’s the third annual Ornament Decorating Party! We put all the craft supplies out and you use them to make any kind of ornament you’d like. Hang an ornament on the Town Tree and make a few for yourselves! Cocoa and donuts provided. Come see “Christmas in Yellowstone”, a family movie everyone will love. Breathtaking landscapes frame intimate scenes as the animal residents make their way through the most challenging season of the year. From the unique crystals of individual snowflakes to the grand sweep of Yellowstones Hayden Valley, this is Christmas in Yellowstone playing Tuesday December 17th at 6:30pm. And the event everyone has been waiting for….Santa arrives on Saturday December 21 at 9am! We’ll be serving a free pancake breakfast from 8:30 – 10:30am and Santa will be here from 9-10am to visit with all the children. These events and the monthly programs are all free but we do ask that you register for the Santa Breakfast and Red Cross Classes. Call 287-2945 to register. Follow us on Facebook at
