Babysitting Certification Course

Course Description: This hands-on lesson is designed for youth ages 10 through 16. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a two year certification from the American Heart Association (for youth 12 and older), be trained in choking relief, and basic first aid. Participants will learn how to care for infants and young children, communicate effectively with children and their parents, offer age appropriate games, meals, and snacks, recognize safety issues and learn how to respond in an emergency. At the end of class, each student will receive their own babysitting bag. Lunch is provided but if you have dietary restrictions you are welcome to bring your own food. Class limited to 10.
