Ellington Farman Library was recently able to complete  installation of  a Stand-by Generator thanks to funding that was made possible by the Karl Peterson Unrestricted Fund at the Chautauqua Region Community Foundation and a private donation. The generator will allow the library to be fully  operational during times of power outage thereby allowing the community to charge cellphones, batteries, medical  devices and use the library during  regular open hours. It will also prevent flooding issues in the basement by providing emergency power to the sump pump.  Moon-Light Electric of Jamestown was contracted to  install the generator. This project was a demonstrated need for both the safety of the building and the broader community. The grant was a great help  as  the library continues to find proactive ways to serve our community.
