There will be an informational table set up for you to speak with representatives and gather details on this program and how to apply for it. The Good Skills Career Builder Program is affiliated with Goodwill of WNY. The program is for those who are over the age of 18, with a high school diploma or GED, and are looking for fulltime work in the manufacturing field. The courses are available at the Jamestown Community College Campus. The program is completely free and they offer a 500 dollar stipend upon completion of the program. Individuals in the program would receive forklift training, OSHA certification, Cyber Security Certification, shop math training, and financial literacy training. After completion the students will have an opportunity to participate in a career fair with local manufacturers offering 20 minutes interviews and on the spot job placement. Individuals will also receive a career coach that would be assigned to them that will assist with employment, job retention, and resume building/mock interviews.
One Day Fundraiser: plants, books and Returnables Collection! You may donate plants by dropping them off on our front porch starting June 1st. Please no trees or large shrubs. Pots cannot be returned. Drop off your bags of clean returnables on June 3rd and we’ll recycle them for you! Mini-Book sale on our front lawn.
Come join some crafty ladies and bring your works in progress to work on at the library. Sewing, Quilting, most any craft that you like to do. They’ll be glad to give you some sewing tips if you need them. They are a fun bunch who laugh as they sew. Usually meeting the first and Third Mondays of the month but holidays excluded.

Everyone is welcome to join our Adult Book Club that meets the third Thursday of every month from 11am – 1pm. The members choose the books and the library gets copies for everyone. Coffee is on and good conversation is waiting. Come join them!
